Will filing a claim raise my insurance rates?

It can, depending on your carrier and claim history — that's a question for your insurance agent. What we can tell you is whether the damage is significant enough to make a claim worthwhile in the first place, so you're not filing something borderline for no reason.

What if my claim gets denied or underpaid?

What's the difference between ACV and RCV on my payout?

Accepted Answer

RCV (replacement cost value) pays what it costs to actually replace your roof today, usually in two payments. ACV (actual cash value) factors in depreciation — you get less up front, and more comes out of your pocket. We'll help you understand which your policy uses before work starts.

How long does the whole process take?

From the first inspection to a new roof usually runs 2–6 weeks, depending on how fast your insurance company moves. We push it along on our end and keep you updated. The install itself is typically 1–3 days once we start.

Do you handle the paperwork with my insurance company?

We handle the roofing side — inspection, documentation, adjuster meeting, and the technical/scope back-and-forth on the estimate. You'll still communicate directly with your insurance company about payment and policy items, but we do the heavy lifting on the roof-related pieces.

What if the storm damage isn't visible from the ground?

Accepted Answer

Most of it isn't. Wind damage especially — lifted tiles that reseated, hail bruising, or lifted shingle edges — usually needs someone on the roof to catch. A free inspection is genuinely how you find out, and there's no pressure either way based on what we find.
